Use this checklist before spending more on ads. The goal is to identify the first evidence-backed leak in the buying journey, not to redesign everything at once.
1. Traffic quality
- Can you separate direct, search, email, social, and paid traffic?
- Do you know which source produced the highest-intent sessions?
- Are internal/test sessions being mistaken for buyers?
2. Product-page clarity
- Can a new visitor identify the product, price, value, and next action quickly?
- Is the scope or included deliverable explicit?
- Are important objections answered before Add to Cart?
3. Trust
- Are delivery timing, support, cancellation/refund terms, and expectations visible?
- Are claims specific and supportable rather than exaggerated?
- Can buyers inspect examples or methodology before purchasing?
4. Decision friction
- Are unnecessary options or competing calls to action slowing the decision?
- Does the buyer know what happens immediately after checkout?
5. Cart and checkout
- Is shipping disabled for services and digital products where appropriate?
- Are expected payment methods available?
- Do real abandoned checkout records exist, or are you relying only on session analytics?
6. Measurement
- Can you distinguish product view → Add to Cart → checkout → purchase?
- Is purchase/conversion tracking connected to your ad platforms?
- Can you attribute the first paid conversion to its acquisition source?
7. Scale gate
Do not increase acquisition spend until you can prove: qualified visit → purchase → fulfillment → attribution.
